Successful surgery on 05 RL headlight
Successful surgery on 05 RL headlight
A deer ran in front of my RL on the interstate highway and I couldn't avoid hitting him. He didn't survive it - I felt rotten.
The car didn't look damaged until I noticed the headlight aiming on that side wasn't moving as much as normal. The bulbs were working but the little plastic holders inside the assembly had broken from the impact. A new headlight is expensive so I carefully separated the housing and installed a small spring to hold the moving light frame against its ball joint - works fine now - it even re-calibrated itself. No codes. Life is good. Now if somebody comments, and I answer, my post count will be 5 and the insipid noob treatment should abate.
