Squeady Breaks

I have had my springs and rotors replaced on my 05 Rl under warranty and I still have squeaky breaks? Has anyone had this problem. They seem to squeak at very slow speeds like starting and stopping around 5 to 10 mph Any info you may have would be helpful. Thanks.

We had our brakes 'fixed' back when we did the other TSB's last month.

The squeal has come back, but no where nearly as bad.

It's the cost we pay for big multi piston brakes

Same here It is not as bad but still there I was wondering if I should set up another "Dealer" call, but it looks like I may need to except it. Thanks for the feed back

Hmm, I haven't had the squeal (yet). When did it start for you guys? But yes big brakes are almost always noisier.

I haven't owned my '05 RL for almost 8 months now, but I do remember the brakes squealing. I only owned it for 5 months and they had already started squealing when I traded it in. The squeal started within a couple of thousand miles.

Mine started after 5,000, but now they seem to be worse after the new set were put on

My RL just turned 5000 miles and the squeeky brakes began about 200 miles ago. I have deduced that they squeek at very low speeds, and that it doesn't always happen. As a result, it would be a very difficult problem to have the dealer try to duplicate. I'm down to 40% on my oil life, so I'll add the brakes to the list when the first service comes due in a couple of months. The other items on the list? XM refresh issue, although my VIN doesn't qualify under the TSB. I hope they'll still replace my unit.
