for the windows you have to reset them, i believe go to each individual window and while holding the button push it down and pull it up while holding it again. should do the trick, as for the radio make sure you enter both codes for radio and navi.

Assuming you have unlocked the radio and NAVI, try going into the NAVI Diagnostics and run a systems test. If it is normal, it may be something obvious. If it is a failure, you will know the dealer needs to address.

When in doubt...reboot. At least that is what I do with my smartphone.

Who would have ever thought we would reach the point where rebooting our car would become practice. At least my RL has been more reliable than MicroSoft products.

Out of curiosity, why does our RL drain the battery so quickly compared to other vehicles? I have had to jump start (4 times) due listening to music on the 2nd ignition position while washing my magnificence RL.

When we bought our MDX in '05, the sales guy told me not to run on battery alone without the car running as we would have 7 minutes of life before it drained. He cited the Navi as the reason. Makes sense, these suckers are electrical (I need 1.21 gigawatts.....what the heck is a gigawatt? Name that movie)

Edit: Not sure if the "7 minutes" is true, just what he told me. Frankly I have no interest to find out. I would think the RL would drain faster as it has much more sophistication than this gen of MDX.

Assuming your RL is not victim to a parasitic draw that some early 05 RLs had, there can be a laundry list of power draws from a vehicle loaded with electronic features and convenience devices.

For one, the sound system draws juice. You have a sub woofer, ANC, a head unit loaded with digital processing capabilities...all not really designed to run on battery power.

Add passive electronic features such ass Auto Lamps delay, touch sensitive power locks, passive armed security system, ECU draw and various powered sensors which remain live, and you have a reasonable amount of power drain. And remember, the battery is primarily designed to crank from ignition and maintain an electronic grounding to the electrical system.

Last, although I think Acura batteries are no superstars, I'll stick with them as long as they replace them under warranty with no pro-rating. If your battery is original factory, it may be nearing it's end. Mine lasted just over 2 years. The telltale sign of 'the end is near' for the RL battery is the telescoping wheel interrupted when cranking the ignition.

A gigawatt is the amount of energy needed to run the RL's Flux Capacitor.

It has been reduced to 1 gigawatt from 1.21 gigawatts as the result of using aluminum body panels in place of the former stainless steel. Further, the gull wing doors were dropped in favor of traditional 4 door configuration with flush mounted side glass.

^^^

So this was a joke? Why did the Acura dealership charge $700 for a new Flux Capacitor (that was not cover under warranty)?

Mr. Tampa, please stop with the jedi mind games!

I am NOT normally the superstitious type, but ironically I have posted on two threads with "problem inquiry" and magically the same problem telepathically pass on to my RL (example: nonfunctional mirror control
https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-rl-2005-2012-76/strange-733468/) and now this thread!

This morning I tried to start my RL (the interior lights were dim and the ignition would not turn over) and after the initial jump start the RL still couldn't start on it's own. Went to my local autoparts store and confirm that battery crapped out and got on the phone with my Acura adviser and confirm a FREE replacement battery!

I am terrified to even glance over at the "propeller shaft support bearing whistle" thread

I am starting a thread about jock itch outbreaks.

Or how about 'Snakes in an RL!'
