SHAWD problem

Got the dreaded Check SHAWD system on the way to work this AM
Put the torque display on and saw that only fron wheels were gettign power (at least as far as the display was concerned)
Think I had this before and system recovered. Will check at lunch.

Yikes!! Hopefully not something serious, maybe just a bad sensor?? What year RL do you have, how many miles and most importantly, are you under warranty?? Keep us posted.....

2005 RL 83K miles - have extended warranty (whew)
All OK at lunch run
Hopefully one of those intermittent sensor glitches

I would still mention it to the dealer and have them look at it, even if they can't find anything wrong. You want to set up a history in case the problem shows up again after the warranty expires so that you have a case to get it covered.

good idea
thanks

the car should also store these errors, correct?
but then I would be relying on the dealer to save them if they clear them on the service

All error codes should be recorded. The stealership should however be able to clear them. You can also go to an AutoZone and have them pull the codes if you're curious.

Keep us posted if the dealer finds the root of the problem.
