Shaking at 80mph

Shaking at 80mph

Hey guys the other day I was driving down the freeway and first time I hit eighty I felt some vibration from the back and as soon as I went down to 75 they went away could it be that my tires are not alligned or what could you guys possibly think of . Thanks guys

Tire/wheels balance is the first thing that comes to kind. Warped rotors, bent axels, or bad shocks could be possibilities.

I don't think it would be the rotters but could be a possibility I will try a wheal balance first and il have it inspected for worn shockz hopefully that solves it

I think the shocks are a long shot. I would put my bet on wheel balance issue.

I will have it checked this weekend , hopefully that's it and can avoid expensive repairs , are their any bettey shocks to make the ride a little smoother or are oem the best shot for it ??

OEM are best for a smooth ride. A number of members are moving to KYB, but I don't think they have been used long enough to give a fair evaluation versus stock.

That's true is their a part number for the shocks possibly front and back. Thanks for your help man I really appreciate it

Agree...get the wheels balanced. Could have a broken belt as I did. Wheel/tire looks fine until you see it spin.

hopefully it's just a balance , I will take her to American tires since they will do it no charge at all

Update

Ok guys I have an update for you guys it turns out it's a bad set of tires on the back so I am going to replace them to Pirelli P7 there out of stock temporarly. There gonna round me around 350 for the back with balance and out the door .

Be cautious of the front end as well. These cars are known for control arms, stabilizer links etc.

Glad it was just tires.

I had a similar vibration issue only in the front. Turned out to be a bad front right axle. Hopefully the tires are your issue...
