SH-AWD plus AWS
I remember some years ago that Preludes came with an All-Wheel-Steering option (AWS) that really increased handling. After a year or two, that option went away never to be seen again. I hope SH-AWD doesn't fall into the same trend, but I wonder if Honda could produce a combo SH-AWD/AWS?

Three Wheelin'
The AWS would not only improve the already amazing handling of the RL, but it would shrink the turning radius as well. I'm not sure why AWS disappeared from the automotive world - I think a couple of GM trucks still offer it??
P.S. Is the Professor the world famous HL?

4WS survived in Japan up to 2001 as far as I know.
It was also featured on Accords there as well.

There are two different types of AWS. I'm not sure what the prelude AWS does.
The GM version turns the rear wheels to the oposite way so It could reduzed the truning radius, unlike the super HICAS used in the skyline and M35 rear active steer (obviously from the skyline) and I'm pretty sure the AWS system were
these 3 systems (HICAS, RAS, AWS) will turn the rear wheels in the same direction your are turning thus helping the handling (cornering) and making the car feel more nimble than its size suggests.
The RL already does what the these system do in a even bigger magnitude, so you will never see any of these systems on the SH-AWD plaform.

The Prelude system did both. It would turn the rear wheels in the opposite direction (from front wheels) at low speeds and in the same direction at higher speeds.
And SH-AWD in my opinion makes up where 4WS cannot.
