Question SH-AWD Fluid Replacement

In reading through the manual, it states that the AWD system in the '05 RL uses Honda ATF, but I couldn't find in there how often it needs to be replaced. Does anyone know? Also, are there any symptoms that I should be looking out for that would indicate that its time for the fluid replacement for the AWD system? Is there a way to check what condition the ATF is in the AWD system via the engine bay?

Thanks!

The MID will inform you when the fluid needs to be replaced.

The dipstick with the yellow loop in the engine bay is for the ATF.

So, when you replenish the ATF for the transmission does it also replenish for the AWD system, are they connected for fluid purposes?

What are you referring to when you say AWD, the transfer fluid? Anyway, all this information is in the maintenance section of the owner's manual.

I replace my rear diff fluid every 30000 miles when I do the trans. whether the MID indictes it or not. I probably over-service my car - I have only had one MID incident appear. I am the kind of owner you would want to buy a used car from.

I believe there are two reservoirs to fill/drain. One is the transmission fluid and the other is the differential fluid. Haven't done it yet, but they are both near each other in the rear. Not sure if they both use the same fluid.

If you do it yourself, make sure you take the fill plug off first to make sure you can get it off.
