I cannot find the thread where all of the perks are listed by the members so I had to share it in the new thread - mods please delete this thread once I get the hint where the thread may be as this belong to pretty much listing the option of the car and not really a question!

I recently went online and scheduled an appointment at the dealership for the following day (myacura.com) ... everything was pretty much confirmed and scheduled; so the following day dealership calls and just verifies if I am coming... I was just on my way there anyway - but the jaw dropper for me was: I get into my car and command NAV where to go. At that point I notice there is a message listed: I opened it and what a surprise: reminder stating that my scheduled appointment is at 11:00AM!! I was really surprised as I do not have any type of service that really offers "connection" (on star, etc) but somehow Acura did broadcast this information into my NAV remotely and it was there without me doing anything other than scheduling it online...

I was really amazed by this option

 

AcuraLink telematics actually works! This is one way to confirm that it works. Make an appointment via MyAcura.com and see if a message appears. Some years ago, Acura advised me to test the function in that way, but of course, to note in the appointment maker that this was only a test, and not a real appointment, so the dealer would not get surprised. I understand that it is via XM radio links, because my phone's data link is not compatible with the RL, so it certainly is not working that way!

 

could connect there computer to there RL to send info to there car...? I think Acura under use this ability to connect to RL owners. They could send discounts,updates, New Rl info to the RL owner Monthly. it would be cool.
