Second and 3rd generation comparison...

Hey i just wanted to be clear on a few things going forward.
i currently have an 06 and am really considering making the jump at some point soon to a 09-12

if i buy wheels for my current RL will they swap cleanly into the 09-12? Will my jdm legend door sills also swap no problem? H& R springs?

Also just a side question since Im at it. Has anyone ever experienced one headlight going out and on inbetween turn ons? My passenger side HL always wants to shut off? Im trying to figure out the culprit.
thx in advance!

the 09-12 is just an MMC (Mid-Model change) and not considered the 3rd gen.

as for the headlights, it could be as simple as a bulb going out. you will need to troubleshoot, by switching the bulb from Left to Right to see if problem follows bulb

Wheels and springs will transfer. I would be amazed if the sills didn't.

As for headlights, it's either bulb or ballast, but likely the bulb. Follow justn's advice.

since I'm a DIY kind of person, it's easy for me to drop the front bumper in order to access the bulbs.

but, if you can, try squeezing your hands through the wheel wells to gain access

thx, def not the bulbs, i just had them changed. This was happening with the old bulbs and i suspected bulb age. New bulbs didnt help.
