Just wanted to give a heads up in regard to JACOB KING. I'm sure most of you are aware of the Group Buy he had tried to setup for the Megan Coilovers for our 2nd Gen RL. Needless to say I was a fool to have been the only one who made the deposit of $350.00 to get it going...

I've Emailed and PMed him numerous times with no success. He promised me my return as of Tuesday 5-10-11 and when I didn't see him process a refund, I alerted myself to PM him and get a response. I then Emailed him on his personal Email which has a reference name of Heather King through his Paypal address brooklynking@me.com. He said, "I'll issue a refund sometime tonight." Tonight being yesterday night 5-11-11....

I'm hoping that no one gets scammed from this Scam Artist for I have about 2 more weeks to file my claim with Paypal and will do so this Saturday. It was a great idea that the moderators closed the thread other words this could have been escalated to a higher extent with other members.

Careful posting members' contact info. I've seen others get banned for it. I totally understand that you are mad, though. In the future, the vendor should be the one to facilitate payments. I would especially be wary of newer members.

 

I'm aware of not posting his contact info, but would I really get banned for posting his Email?

An email is something that anyone could have found. It would be different if you posted his address or phone number. I wouldnt worry much about it

Hopefully he is just a lazy asshat that is really intending to refund you but can't get his crap together, and thus just lost all accredibility. (If he ever had any!) Good luck on the claim. I can't imagine he would do everything he did here just for $350 and then disappear, but some people really are scum. If he does show up you, can bet we won't stop giving him hell.

WOW! Thanks for the headsup, I was going to paypal him this weekend for some leather arm rest replacement/exchange that he made on another thread. Will see the outcome of your sitution before doing anything.

 

I haven't refunded him yet because as I told him, I had transferred money out of paypal to my bank which takes a couple of days, and was also waiting on someone else to pay for their eBay item.

I understand that I owe you $350, but emailing/PM me SEVERAL times saying "where's my money?", even before I was even supposed to refund you is not cool, hence me taking my time with the refund. Opening a thread calling me a scammer isn't exactly a great way to go about things either.

I would have refunded you Tuesday night, but I spent more time trying to respond to your needy PMs than anything else...

here's a common PM transaction:

me: If nothing happens by Tuesday [referring to group buy progress] I'll just refund you Tuesday night. I do appreciate you being the only one that ever made the deposit.

him: I appreciate the reply. Ill be waiting till tuesday afternoon for your reply. I do have pending some h&r springs on tuesday also if this doesnt go through.

Fellow members. I just got a pending refund through PAYPAL from Jacob King in my Email. It'll be clearing on Wednesday. Jacob King, understand that I had no choice, but to think this when you committed to me with two different dates for the refund and I never got it.

 

why is it pending? that's lame, I hate paypal. I had $161 in my paypal account and refunded your the $350 expecting it to take the $161 from my PP account and the other $189 from my bank, but nope. All $350 came from my bank.

Paypal is the devil. They try to hang onto your money FOREVER. They had your money already...then took MORE than they really needed to process your refund, leaving them in control of MORE money than you ever intended for LONG time...that's paypal for ya!


DOWN WITH PAYPAL. Their policies are greatly a joke and more aimed toward making them money than anything else.

 

If nothing else, it's good to see that this miscommunication was cleared up publicly.

Amen... Hey "xdarkne55x" and "jacob king" I just finished my H&R install this week... Not to bad if I may say so myself... You won't be disappointed with this setup at all... I'll start a new thread with uploaded pics later today...
