I agree with you! If all they have to do is modify an existing product, you should be able to order it down the road assuming that you will have to wait for it....I mean, they should know how to modify it by than..

However, I also understand that usually, no one will go out their way to produce a product that has such a small demand...i mean, look at ATLP...that project went nowhere

Hopefully, we can all get our hands on it and it isn't limited...more like a special order..? On that note, I just bought mine! another mod that I was going to do down the road...but oh well

Boys boys and girls (if any on this forum) the Jpipe is stellar... i love it.. the pick up IMO is a lot btter in my opinion. THe sound is a lot better. And i have custom exhaust. Everything is good so far. I have complains. NOw i literally wait at the light to gun it when it turns green. love the kick and sound..

I think all of will enjoy the small gains and the sound you will get out of it... i know i do...

Exactly. We should be able to pre-order them with the knowledge that he will have to take an existing TL pipe and mod it. He said it takes a week. Put a disclaimer on the web page and build them as the orders come in.

Time for the noob questions now haha..

1. Will this affect the Acura warranty and/or inspections provided I do not mess with the cats (just a plain clean install)?

2. How many hours will the install take? For those non do-it-yourselfers out there, I guess you will take it to a buddy or mechanic like me, so I just want to know if they are hosing me on the labor or not..

3. Is there a warranty on the pipe itself, or does that reside with the shop that does the installing?

Thanks in advance, I'm eagerly awaiting a sound clip as well!!

Everyone should be aware of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, commonly known as the Federal Lemon Law. The thing to take away here is that if the car fails for a reason beyond your control under warranty, the dealer has to fix it. If a dealer tries to side step a warranty request by blaming an aftermarket modification, they have to be able to prove that you caused the issue with said modification. In other words, if you modify the head lights and the engine locks up, they will have to prove your headlight modification directly caused the lockup before they can default on the warranty contract you signed with them.

Now, if you put this pipe on and your cat sensors go and throw a code, good luck, but anything beyond the scope of the exhaust is still covered under warranty and protected by federal law.

Wait there are no sensor down by the exhaust or jpipe. so no sensor should be lid up... Regardless this shouldn't affect anything with the engine. if anything it will be better.

not worried about it guys.

Making a bigger deal than what it is. Enjoy the jpipe your car will run fine...
