Rusty Rotors

Have 06 RL with 47000 miles. Still has original factory rotors. Had some severe rain recently and just noticed today that all four rotors are rusted badly. All rotors had sporadic rusty spots on them. Should I be concern? They are not warped or create any brake noise but visually it looks terrible.

Unless it starts giving you noise / breaking performance decrease I think you should be fine. Now, if you do not like how it looks like then you would need to make a decision whether to change rotors or not... Keep in mind changing rotors will squeeze new pads out of your pocket as well ... If it was my RL I would wait and see how everything goes.

Not sure if possible but maybe some shops do break cleaning including the rust on the rotors (!? - definitely wild guess)

It's normal. Look at most any other car's brakes in the same situation.

Vinegar will clean rust off of metal. I can't advise you to put vinegar on your rotors b/c I don't know if that would cause harm. Maybe someone can confirm or deny that it will. I wouldn't think it would because they are just metal. If it doesn't, just use a stiff bristle plastic brush soaked in vinegar to clean them. But definitely be careful of getting any on lines or pads or the calipers just for precaution. Remember vinegar is acidic.

Agreed. As soon as you drive it, the rust will be gone. In fact, if you wash the car, rust will soon appear on the rotors, it is normal...as soon as you drive it, the rust will be scraped off and you will have shiny rotors again.
