Rust Proofing

I did one yesterday with a shop that uses Krown. I did not know they drill holes, nor the drip. All new to me.

I'm wondering:

Do our cars really need rustproofing in winter climates or is the new paint on cars nowadays already treated?

If they do, is that electronic device better than spraying products?

And those holes they drill, doesn't that oily material spoil anything inside?

And it drips. Do the doors have a drip too or does the sprayed material accumulate on the door's bottom?

Total newbie here on that.

Personally I thought its BS and useless unless the car is new, still believe it to this day maybe thats why theyve all but disappeared in the DMV where I live.

Personally I dont want someone putting holes in my car to prevent holes from showing up.

Yea I didn't know till i got there. I'm thinking maybe i should've asked for the bottoms to be sprayed, and wherever accessible, and do no holes.
