Right at 7000 miles between oil changes

I had some very long highway trips and very few stop and go miles.
The oil life showed 15% left when I took it in for the oil change.
Total miles were 7020.
I would guess this is about as good as it gets for lengthy oil changes.
I wonder what sort of miles a stop and start short trip car would get at 15%?

I took my car in for its first change @3850 miles and the oil life still stated 60% left. I live in Houston and drive stop-n-go daily. The dealer gives me free changes @ 3750 mile intervals for the life of the car.

Go with a synthetic like Mobil 1 if you are going to go 7000+miles before oil changes

The manual clearly states that there is special break in oil in the RL and to leave it in full term as determined by the evaluation system.
I called Acura corporate and they confirmed this, VERY important to leave the first oil in full term.

7k+ is normal for highway driving. The latest generation of mineral oils can go 5-7k between drains under many service conditions with only minimal buildup and excellent wear control.

Whatever you do, just make sure you check your oil level ... my 06 went through 2qts by the time it had 5000 on it. I've since changed the oil, and it doesn't seem to be burning anymore oil... but be careful not to let it go too low.

Mine hasn't burned any since new. I guess they could consume some during break in but with today's tolerances I would be surprised if you will see continuing consumption.
