Removing Intake Resonator
Has anyone tried removing the intake resonator on the RL here ?
I had done this on my 03TL-S a while b4 installing AEM CAI and I cant say that it did yield a tiny improvement of throttle response and it gave a good deep sound when revving over 3K. If this can be done on the RL, it could be a nice alternative to installing a CAI with minor improvements and a stock look.

My memory seems to have weakened regarding that 1st link. I did a search on,my phone but that result didnt show up. 2nd link looks interesting, I will give it a good read once home.
Do u have the schematics of the air box, resonator area. I would like to visualize what's there b4 I attempt anything.

Hi, I didn't removed resonator, but I unlink the tube (from resonator to filter box). And I get good sound and litle perfomance.

#9 removed yesterday. Still get the benefits of the cold air at speed from the resonator with a throaty sound. Heat soak may be an issue in traffic. It might be a slight power adder if the resonator is truly restrictive.
