remote

Before we get started and someone suggests RTFM - I can't find my manual. I need to know the steps involved with remote battery replacement, battery size/model and if the remotes will need to be relearned? Thanks for your help and patience.

CR 2025 (2 of 'em - I bought 10 for $2.50 or so online rather than $3.99 each at Radio Shack)
  • Pop the key out of the fob
  • Twist the fob open with a quarter in the little "indent" on the side
  • Change the batteries (check polarity)
  • Snap the fob shut
  • Replace the key
  • Good to go - No relearning needed

I know, if you had the manual it would tell you where the manual is kept? (Shh - secret folder inside the glove box). Changing the batteries is very similar to changing them in your TV remote: take the old ones out and put the new ones in.

FWIW you can get a PDF through Acura Owner Link. If you cannot, PM me with an email and I will send you a copy.
