Rear Sunshade works ON/OFF

Having a bit of an issue with my rear sunshade that keeps working on and off at times and its very annoying.

I have to keep pushing the button multiple times for it to go up! has anyone else had this problem and is there a solution to this?

many thanks.

I have the same problem. I sometimes have to hit it multiple times for it to go up. Usually only happens after the car has been parked/off for a while.

Mine totally stopped working. The mechanic at the agency said to bang on the motor which sometimes is the solution but I am having trouble getting to it.

I had similar issues with mine last year. After pulling most of my hair out, I learned that if the weather is cold less than around 35 degrees or if its really hot, the sunshade will get stuck. although the motor works the fabric is stuck on the base and will not unwind or one side will go up while the other side is stuck. A good cleaning and gentle nudge while pressing the button will help. (obviously this will take two people)

When you guys say the rear shade gets stuck, can you hear the motor trying to lift it?

In my case, I think it's the button itself that seems to be the issue.

When this intermittent problem occurs, I can press the button and I hear no motor operation at all, the button itself just seems to be unresponsive. However, when the button does seem to work, the shade motor responds and seems to work just fine.
