I am having the most annoying rattle from my rear shelf. I have taken my car to the dealer on 4 different occasions for this, but they could never duplicate this issue when my factory warranty was available, that’s 3 months ago. I am out of OEM warranty and only have AccuraCare and Extended but not sure if this issue will still be covered. Is there another solution to the Rear shelf rattle fix as a DIY?

 

Even after the TSB repair, I still had some minor rattles. Follow the information in the TSB and you'll be able to identify the problem areas. I think most Technicians just "go through the motions" and don't really care if it's totally fixed. I used some felt from a home repair store (sticky on one side) and that did the trick for me.

I DID have a buddy drive the care while I sat in the back seat. Trust me, the problem areas were really easy to hear (just keep moving your hand/fingers around the areas until the rattle goes away, etc.).

 

i know exactly where the rattle is coming from the rear shade when i tp it i can hear that little sound. the problem is getting to it.
