Being that the EDM/JDM KB1 seat heater switches have 6 settings while the USDM just has Hi/Lo, I have always wondered if one was to swap the EDM/JDM switches into a USDM if you'd have a variable temperature range? Thoughts?

 

I don't actually know the answer to this but I would suspect that the other markets just use some from of rheostat instead of a switch. Seems unlikely that Acura would have used a different wiring harness, but who knows? I'd love to know the thought process they use when making things that are different for different markets instead of standardization

 

I know we have a few Canucks on here. and the Canadian RL came with cooled seats. If you post a picture of our harness, maybe one of them would be kind enough to compare theirs to ours? I doubt it's as simple as swapping over the switch, I'm willing to bet there are probably differences in the seats as well, but who knows right?

 

We should have wiring diagrams of both...
