random annoyances

So i've had my RL for about 5 years now... Bought her back in 2007 as a certified preown and I have loved her ever since... I'm starting to have a few weird issues that seem like they may be easy fixes. Like a reset or something. First my passenger side mirror never returns to the same spot when I take it out of reverse like it did in the past, my steering wheel never comes back to the way i like it when I turn the car back on after turning it off and the doors do not unlock themselves after putting the car back into park like I have it set. I have had to turn off the auto tilt/telescope, change the door unlocking to unlock when I turn the car off and I just have to fix my mirror everytime. Another thing is that it has to research for all my MP3 data on my MP3 disc everytime I hit the audio button and push down on the knob. I remember after the first time it searched for everything it would remember it until I turned the car off and back on. Any one else run into these issues and figure out a easy fix? Maybe a memory reset...

The sterring wheel not telescoping out during start is a tell-tale sign of weak battery. I suspect it is also causing the mirror problem

check battery. Those symptoms you describes are all related to a battery starting to go bad.

Either weak battery or your key fob as been unlinked to driver 1. Make sure when you start your car it says Welcome Driver 1.

Yes, I also thought that the annoying lack of return to set position of the steering wheel and seat were due to a weak battery and told myself that each time I reset my steering wheel position and seat in my RL and yes my key fob is linked. I have replaced my battery twice since I have owned my car. First with a warrantied Acura battery and just last month with a new O'Reillys battery since Acura would not honor 2nd battery warranty (over 100 month from original in service date of car, even though the replaced battery was 2 years) and still have experienced the annoying lack of return to the setting. I have told my Acura service department at least about 4 times about the problem as recently as last week Wednesday when I also had an RDX loaner, but they said sorry we are not able to replicate the problem. So my solution is reset the seat and steering wheel each time I start the car. I think the RL is a great car but can be annoying at times.

Wait - if you have to reset it every time, how can the dealer not repro?

I don't think the mirror issue is related to the battery. When my mirror consistantly failed to return to the 'home' position, I had the dealer check it out and they replaced the entire unit. That was 4 years ago and I've not had a problem with it since.

My battery was replaced not too long ago and before it was replaced I was experiencing some of the other symptoms you mention.

I can't count how many times I have re synced the fob.
And I click the correct buttons to set.
ok It can go for a few days without loosing its setting but to me it seems like I reset it all the time.
when its at the dealer it usually works.
so they insist its ok.
so to me it is annoying.
