radio sound and steering wheel help please
hi all,
i recently got into a small accident with the driver front of my car. everything looks great! the problem i have now after the battery was disconnected is that i cant get any sound from my radio. i dont even get any sound when i press the HFL button to sync the phone or the Voice command button.
also, since the minor accident i noticed a slight click when i turn my steering wheel in either direction. it clicks twice when i start from one side turning to the other. it happens at the same interval of each steering wheel rotation. there was also a message indicator for AWD 77.any ideas on both of these issues would be awesome. thanks in advance!!

You need to re-enter your radio code to get it working again. I think it's a 4 digit code. If you don't have it, you'll have to take your vehicle to a dealer and they can retrieve it via the radio serial number.
Once the power is disconnected, there are a some systems that need to be re-initiated, the radio being one. You may want to get an owner's manual if you don't already have one. It's all explained in there.

i got the sound to come back via the 30 amp fuse on passenger side. i dont know how the body shop could have blown that fuse.
its the 2nd fuse for the amplifier. now i need help for the clicking.
it clicks a total of 6 times on one complete turn from left to right and vise versa. pretty much every 45 degree turn it clicks, any thoughts?

Did your airbag deploy? Or was it removed for any of the repairs?
There is a clock spring that enables the airbag to maintain power to the sensors while the steering wheel rotates. This clock spring will cause clicking sounds when it is worn or perhaps damaged by improper airbag assembly removal or replacement.

The accident could have moved the spring or knocked something into it so it makes the noise you are hearing. The only way to tell is to remove the steering wheel and take a look. Not hard to do as a number of us have to install the "wood" wheel ourselves. Take a look in the RL Garage HERE, page down and follow the wood steering wheel installation insgtructions. I'd imagine the dealer would charge $100 or more to check it out.

Perhaps in doing so they damaged the clock spring.
