Thumbs up Proud NEW OWNER!!!!!

All -

Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I'm a recent new owner of an 05 RL. I was in a lease with an 05 TL that i loved, however, i was wanting to break out of the lease in order to finance. The only reason why i leased in the first place was to get the car solely in my name. I also had an accident in my TL back in Dec. after having it for about 6 mos. where i hit a slick spot and messed up the whole left side of the car.

Believe it or not, none of that was factored into the equation of me breaking out of the lease and getting into an 05RL!!! My payoff was around $29,xxx and they offered me $28k for my TL. I bought an 05RL w/ only 15k miles on it. And the negative equity wasn't rolled into the price of the RL. I was able to get the RL for $41500!!! Truly an amazing story.. atleast in my opinion anyway. I never knew i'd be driving in an almost $50,000 car this soon! I picked it up last Tues. evening.

I totally luv the car. The difference b/t the RL and TL is just like night and day! The SH-AWD feature is sooo awesome! There are curves that i would normally go 40 mph around, but now i find myself doing it at like 50-55mph and it's like i'm going around it at 30mph. The NAVI system is far better, although i hate it's not touchscreen. It took me hours/days to get familiar with the wheel/dial. But i enjoy playing w/ it and getting familiar with the tools.

Hope this thread will help someone...

Congrats on the purchase...

Try the voice system. Once you get used to the voice commands, you'll hardly ever touch the knob. I came from a Honda Accord, which has the same touch-navi as the TL does, and once I learned the voice system I never looked back. Trust me, you won't miss the touch screen at all....

Good deal. One thing i do have a question about is the voice feedback. How can i stop that woresome lady from saying every single action that i do on the NAVI???? She's about to drive me crazy! LOL!!!

Congrats

Can't complain anything about my RL. Loving the NAVI. Brought in my RL for a service two months ago, got a tsx for loaner and understood how much better the navi in RL is.

Somewhere in setup, you can select the level of feedbacks or none. And if you prefer a male companion you can change that, too. :-)
