What should I expect to pay for a 2008 Acura RL today, before taxes, tags, license?

 

I got e-mails from one dealer in NJ, "special one day only pricing", for March 29.

On 3/26, got pricing as follows:
2008 RL - $38,459.00
2008 RL Tech - $41,705.00

On 3/28, got pricing as follows:
2008 RL - $39,300.00
2008 RL Tech - $42,400.00

Destination was included, FWIW..

 

the first prices you got should be about 3.5k below invoice. Geronimomoe, you made a safe choice with the infiniti. They are among the highest rated cars. Following your story (not too much different than mine) I am sure your wife loves the G because of all the G's she saved. This car should give you among the highest resale/purchase price ratio of all cars in its class. and the next class up.

Yeah, I've done pretty heavy research in all my car purchases. Heck, it's the second most expensive material purchase for just about anybody, short of a private jet/prop plane or boat/yacht.

Plus, I'm a car kind of person, DIY oil changes, plugs, trans fluid, differential fluid, etc... Only things I won't venture to do are timing belts/water pumps/brakes. However, I may learn how to do brakes because I know it's so simple. With the G, I won't be doing any timing belt changes, since it has a chain.

Chuck091279, just so you know, the 2 dealers closest to me are now down to 4 (down 8) and 7 (down from 11) so the dealers don't seem to be moving them at break-neck speed..
