Price good...?

Here is the pricing I am looking at for the RL:

Lease: 20k miles per year 4 grand down $619/month, three year lease.
Buy: 44,500 + 699 clearbra + 350 tinting

Either way, I am replacing the tires with Mich Pilot Sport all season. Spoiler would add $16/month (which I kinda want, but not 16/month want, lol)

Are both of these good deals, and which would you choose? I put 20k miles a year on my car and with my luck in cars I have been changing more than once a year. Civic I had for 1.5 years (used, old and died), TSX (owned one year)- dealer Fed up engine, FX35 (owned 5months) lemon law (leaky sunroof), TL (owned 6 months) - totaled last week.

Congratulations, Vik, good to know you decide to jump into RL. Buying it would be the choice for me, and the price seems ok to me. Enjoy.

(Sorry to hear the loss of your TL... )

Given your luck with cars, I'd say lease is the way to go. At least then you'll have the GAP coverage.

Yeah.... that makes sense, but if I buy I'm going to put like 9 grand down. Even then, gap is only $394, whats four hundred bucks in the big picture?

Does the $4000 down on the lease include the inception fees or is it $4000 + approximately $1900 in inceptions(including first payment)?

No, no...since it seems like your cars keep either going back to the dealer or getting totalled, the gap coverage will cover the cost difference between the insurance payoff and the cost of the new vehicle.

I never, ever want to tell anyone how to spend their money, but if you are buying it, it may be wise to pick up the acura extended warranty.

Not sure if it is transferable, but if so, that will help if you choose to sell the car while warranty still in effect.

Just my 2 cents

Steve - I would get the extended warranty when I am getting closer to 50k miles. There is a surcharge to add it then, but at least I know I will still have the car then. It is also cancellable with a pro-rated refund... but on a car with so much technology I would deff get it.

I think I am going to go with CGTSX2004.... lease the car. Bad luck with cars is a big reason. I know at the end of 3 years I will be itching for a new car anyways... so this way I can just turn in the keys and walk away. I am going to get the opulent blue with ebony interior and tints. $4000 down 20k miles/ year, 36 month lease, and 630/month. sound good?
