Possible backup camera glitch?
Hey guys haven't posted in here in forever.
Anyways today I was pulling out of a parking spot as usual. I put my car in drive, and noticed that my navigation screen still showed the backup camera.
Normally, this goes away in a few seconds and is replaced with the navigation system map. But as I continued accelerating forward, I noticed that the screen didn't change.
This is the first time it has happened to me, and I think it's pretty awesome. Anyone else experience this before?

If it happens again, get out and see if the reverse lights are on. There's a switch in the shifter and this will tell you if it's the switch or internal to the DVD drive.

It's weird, first time this has happened to me and I have had this car for a few years now. I just thought it was pretty cool.
Any idea how it might have happened? Like maybe the navigation system didn't get the signal that I switched from park to drive?

It's likely what 007 said - switch. Keep an eye on it, maybe a fluke or a precursor to switch failure.
