It really depends on your personality in all honesty. To me, I think the RL is a little to classy for the heavy graphic logos that are options on Licsense plate. I know some people are die hard sport fans and love to promote their team any way they can, but thats not me. I think if you get too personal, it can bring unwanted attention.
There are a lot of jealous people in the world, and some out of just spite, knowing that a specific car belongs to someone in particular they don't like, for no reason at all, will go out of there way to inflict damage on the vehicle.
Just my opinion.

 

That is a good point. Something I didn't think about.

 

I find the plates with symbols (especially pro sports team ones. Dont get me wrong I love sports but...) to be tacky but that is just me.
