Performance Parts for 2nd gen RL?

Hey guys, has anyone heard anything about performance parts for the 2005/2006 RL yet? I'm talking about exhausts, headers, pulleys, supercharger, intake, anything at all. I know Comptech and the other major companies for aftermarket Acura and Honda products really screwed us with the 1st generation RL but that was understandable - that car was a slug with 225 horsepower. This car has 290/300 (thanks SAE!) horsepower and I think certain buyers would actually opt for an exhaust or intake for this car because of its potential. Getting this car up to about 325 horsepower with a couple of mods would clearly throw it onto the same power curve as the 3rd generation TL, in my opinion. A lot of people feel the RL is underpowered, but if the companies start making things for it I think people would buy them.

So, has anyone heard anything, Mugen or otherwise? Since the Legend has a V8, I'm guessing Mugen really hasn't made any parts for the 3.5 V6 yet. I think Comptech also canceled plans to make a supercharger for this car because of lack of demand. Can anyone find anything so far, or do we have to wait? Come on AEM, Comptech, Mugen, Tanabe, or any other company that can make these products!

If I know that I could accessorize this car properly, I'd love to buy it.

There are a few companies that I know of that offer exhausts, as for anything else (minus a crappy k&n drop in filter), there really isnt anything else.

One thing I do like about the aftermarket exhausts is that they focus more on power than sound on the RL due to the fact that the active sound thingamajig filters out most of all low frequency sounds.

i think spoon is working on some sort of upgraded SPORTS model....so you might see a few things in the near future, there isn't just that high of a demand for these parts...it is almost pointless to make performance parts for a car that is aimed at a much older crowd than the TSX...RSX...and even the TL....and being that not as many RL's have been sold...it would just be a waste of time for those companies and most likely they would lose money....

but as for the K&N Air Filter....im sure u could go with that...and a custom exhaust set up...perhaps magnaflow?...and im sure they will come out with an INTAKE for the RL...some company is bound to...but as for SUPERCHARGER....PULLEYS....HEADERS.....those are all pipe dreams my friend...

Mugen created a Legend with a V8 but I don't think it's for sale yet, if ever. The Lengend comes with the same engine as we get as far as I know.

Ok so it was an aftermarket company that makes it.

just so you know a company makes headers for the '04+ TL '03 +accord V6 and i'd think they 'd all but bolt right on if not only minor modifaction should be needed 1000 bucks for about 20 whp put a K&N drop in in and remove your lower resonator and that would be good for about 10 im almost entirely cetain the UR under drive crank pulley would bolt right on another 10... i know nothing of the capabilites of the 3.5 though so dont take my word

The OP was confused.

We have plenty of performance threads and Mugen Legend Maxx with accurate information, so let's not confuse anyone else.
