Performance MODS - ECU S/C?

Does anyone know of a "good" brand of ECU mod?
And can anyone chime in with an opinion on a SuperCharger addition?
I ask this, cause I think a remap (as the standard computer would just FIGHT more boost) and a S/C would give the low-end boost all the V8ers want - without compromising the vehicle.

I'm new to this forum - so if I've offended any "purists", apologies in advance.

For the rest. G'day from Sydney, Australia.

I'd be concerned with FI this vehicle because honda is infamous for their weak automatic transmissions and their glass-like differentials. If this car were offered in a manual, then I could see a tuner investing their time and effort in trying to supercharge/turbo the car. Who knows, perhaps Comptech will create a SC for the RL with moderate boost.

As for ECU, I believe that there are a few companies (Amuse, Mugen) out there that already have ECU's out for the Legend. I would love to see what the folks over at Hondata could do to this vehicle.

Thanks for the tips. Probably (no, definitely) will void the warranty.

the RL is not your average honda...

Spoon Japan has stripped the car down and has left the STOCK automatic tranny in for racing...does not sound weak to me...they also are getting it ready for the 24hrs of the Nurburgring Nordschlief

honda/acura claimed early on that all the available horsepower in the RL could be transferred to a single wheel. so i would imagine the tranny is pretty sturdy.

as far as installing a s/c, i honestly don't know too much about the layout of the J35 but i would imagine one could adapt the TL s/c to fit with some slight modifications.

it would be well worth it to have a 340hp AWD beast.

Its not just the max HP i'm interested in.
Having a s/c makes the car VERY torquey in the lower rpm range.

I currently have a 2.3ltr engine (Miller Cycle) with a factory fitted s/c - the thing is VERY torqey from 2000rpm on. So - quick off the line etc. but very economical.
Best of both worlds.

Yeah. I read that thread, thanks for passing it on. There is a guy doing the tuning too. I doubt I could just "pop-in" the ecu from mugen without tuning too. But its a good start. (ie get the chip from japan, get a local tuner to..er.. tune it properly.
