Passenger side mirror loose

Hey Guys and gals, I noticed that my passenger side mirror seem to be little wobbly (loose). There is alot more play to it then the driver side. Is there a way or does anyone know how to tighten it back up before it falls off.

Thanks

under the side mirror, theres a small cover where the side mirror connects to the body of the car....take a small L shaped and pop the cover out..might take a while but after that, there should be 3 hex screws and just tighten the middle one....or whichever one is loose.

what do u think I should use to pop it out since it so hard to get to, and I don't want to scratch the paint trying time pry it open.

thanks

Take a very small flat head screwdriver (like precision size if available) and cover the tip with a cloth. Use that to pry it.

I used an l-shaped dental pick (can get a cheap set at AutoZone), and it worked great. Be careful when you're taking off the flap, you have to kind of twist it a little.

L shaped tool....the precision size lol....you can stick it in the short end and pull the long end down...found it easier than flat head since its hard to get that angle to pop the cover out...

Worked well, thank you. Getting that cap back on was harder than expected, being all thumbs here the plastic tab furthest away from the car body broke off, but the other two tabs nearer the body seem to hold the undercover on adequately. This screw tightening was the passenger side mirror for a 2006 RL. The three bolts holding the side mirror tight are hex bolts.
