Should the passenger airbag "OFF" lights up when there is no passager sitting there? My only come on for two seconds when I first start the engine, and then stays off with and without passager. Is this normal?

 

Yup. If it stayed on, it would get annoying.

It may come on from time to time if you put something heavy on the passenger seat or your passenger moves into a position where the sensors decide the airbag will do more harm than good.

Yes, this is normal. The inital light on is a self diagnostic. After that, if there is no one in the front passenger seat, the airbag is disarmed, but the light stays off. See page 35and 36 of the 06 manual. It would be annoying, and potentially alarming.
