Smile P2R install and impressions

Super fast shipping from Excelerate. Thanks Joshua.

Install is a PITA though as Acura decided to overly complicate something as simple as a air filter housing and boot removal (tight). This get very tight after the install as the air intake tube must be compressed a bit to fit due to the reduced room available. Keep in mind that the gaskets are separate and come in single packs x2.

Reset the ECU.
Drove around a bit, not really expecting much as cars generally seem snappier right after an ECU reset.

After some miles the car does seem to exhibit a little more oomph. Certainly not significant or close to what the pulley offers-I believe dynos from others indicated 5hp or so from this mod. Will post back with further impressions as the miles pile on.

I will install the AEM V2 intake later on as I need to cut it to fit.

Thank you and you're welcome.

Gains on the TL showed about 5whp. It's not going to be a huge seat of the pants gain but every little bit helps and it help reduces intake air temps and for just over $100 it's a great mod.

In the TL forums, I used to see guys having their intakes snap when using the P2R + Intake.

That is because of improper installation. The original intake mount points were being used and caused the mount to snap. Easily remedied.

About 30 minutes or so. 4 bolts, air filter housing removal, getting it all back together, etc.

Just the tight fit makes things difficult.

Your correct, it is well established that AWD exhibits more drivetrain loss.

Fatty, I just disconnected the negative terminals for 20 minutes.

I want to hear your impressions regarding the power, but I also want to see how much you've got to modify in order to fit your AEM kit.

Looks great though!
