Outside temp gauge issue

So when I first purchased the car the outside gauge temp thing never worked. Now the past few days occasionally it would come on and start like -6 then by the time I get home from work (30 minutes later) it will go to -22. When I have my AC on like 60 it seems kinda warm (cold when its on lo)!but maybe that's in my head I dunno lol. Anyone notice any issues like this or there's not working at all?

if I had my temp at 60, I'd be freezing

I think the AC takes into account the outside temp, so if your gauge is registering below freezing, its probably messing with the AC controls

Well sorry I forgot to mention I'm in ny and it's been like 80's and 90's. so my outside time shouldn't be -6 or -22 ever lol

I understood that. That's why I think your AC feels warm because the outside gauge is so far off

I remember a thread on how to connect the sensor. Its in the front bumper. You might try searching on outside temp gauge

The sensor is right behind the bottom front grill, check if its disconnected or any kinda damage to the sensor itself or the cables.GL
