Things get complicated if the 06 RL's additional features were included. I would love to have things in the 06 RL tech package.

I like all of that so much that I can't pick one over the other...it all fits together in a package that makes for a good mix.

The fine fit and finish is not on the list.

I kinda like the exclusivity...not everybody's lil' ole grandmamma and little sister is driving one...at least not in these here parts!

Thumbs up NAVIGATION SYSTEM all the way!!!!!!!!!

The HONDA/ACURA Navigation system is simply the best unit in the UNIVERSE.....Nothing OEM or aftermarket even comes close to it. And the RL's NAV is the BEST of the best...with it's Navtraffic and other functionality.

I bought my '03 MDX (instead of the Lexus GX 470 I was considering at the time) for it's Navigation system for cryin out loud

After my first encounter with the ACURA DVD NAVIGATION SYSTEM in my 2000 TL I bought in March of 2000, which got stolen after 9 months of ownership, I have wasted THOUSANDS of dollars on aftermarket systems (Yes, including Alpine, the company that makes Honda/Acura Navs)...as well as tried other OEM systems (such as the one in Lexus vehicles)......and nothing can even come close to the Honda/Acura systems......so in the end I just went ahead and got myself an MDX because of the Nav!!!!!!!!!!

I can't agree with you more. The acura nav is amazing - I have used an alpine nav which simply doesn't work like the acura one.

DVD-Audio rocks! My new Nickelback CD sounds great too, eventhough it is a regular CD......I really like how the system tries to convert it to surround sound.

The excellent crash test results before today would compete with the SH-AWD closely for my top pick, but after today (knowing the inferior rear crash test result for the RL) safty is no longer one of the best features of the car.

That is the one we have the least control over. May be it is all related to the headrest and simple to fix. Anyways, sorry to be off topic.

Yeah - I never would have considered this vehicle without the AWD here in Michigan! It was a deciding factor for sure, but the Nav and Audio systems are superb. And yes, keyless is very nice.

Nav is pretty decent but I'm still amazed how much lag there is between reality and what's shown on the screen. When I drive on the freeway under an overpass I'll be well beyond it before the screen shows me that I am. When I stop at an intersection it'll show me I'm not quite there yet. That's just not cool. Still I appreciate the route finding of the nav, it has helped me on several occasions. But I ignore the 'take the 3rd on the left' type of directions because they're often nog accurate.

I havn't found the nav being that inacurate - but yes, I found the same about the intersection problem. Odd... don't know why that is.

Ditto for me on the sh-awd as the deal maker feature for me, but it is the whole package that is amazing. I voted for the audio system but could just as easily have voted for about 5-8 of the other features. I am so used to and comfortable with these features that I can't imagine not having them in my next car. I am hoping that the next car will be an 07 RL-H (hybrid) with V-8 power and torque but with Civic level gas mileage. Come on Honda/Acura give this to us within the next year.
