Hi all, my driver's side headlight flickers sometimes and i already changed the bulb so i assume it's a ballast. So the dealer wants 400+tax for it. I know Acura part number for it but does anyone here knows who makes it? Is it Matsushita or Denso? And is it interchangeable with other makes (Nissan etc) since Matsushita makes ballasts for multiple makes. Any help is appreciated.
OEM Matsushita Ballast part no. NZMHN111LBHA. I switched over to an aftermarket kit and took mine out. one of them is good but im now not sure which but i have an idea. Too bad you're in Canada or i'd send them to you cheap. but the rates would be killer
TRS also sells them, shipping might be an issue though...
I emailed them and this is what i got:
"Hi ********,
Thanks for your email! Unfortunately we don't have any Gen 4 ballasts in stock at the moment. Also the one that you need has the offset mounting which we hardly every carry unfortunately. I'd recommend just finding some off of eBay: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...llast&_sacat=0
This is the reason i created a thread here because the infinity/nissan ballasts are made by Matsushita and look similar to ours. The problem is igniter wire because in our setup the igniter, where bulb plug in, has a small wire in addition to major shielded cable and nissan/infinity doesn't have that. I'm looking to replace both igniter and ballast as anyone of those could cause flickering.

Well so much for that idea. I love how they deferred you to eBay
