Noticed the engine revs slightly with the wipers on. Normal?

Hey all...a new to me RL owner (2005), and this morning it was raining. So, of course, I turn on the wipers. However...I noticed that the engine revved up just a bit at the same time the wipers (set on intermittent) went on. I looked at the RPMs...and sure enough...it moved ever so slightly up. I was in park, in my driveway.
Has anyone noticed this? Is this a normal thing for these RL's, or should I be concerned about an issue? Or am I just worried about nothing?
Thanks so much for the help!

$10 says it was merely coincidence and something else was going on... Either way,

LOL...yeah, I'll grab my popcorn too...really interested to see if someone else chimes in, as it happened again this morning. It was raining again...so I looked to see if it was just a weird coincidence yesterday...and sure enough...as the wipers engaged, the engine revved up past 1000 rpms (not by much)..then settled back to 1000 RPMs when the wipers were off. So weird.

Not sure if it's connected, but if the windows are closed and you touch the window button up the rpm get a slight surge down. Then again it could be non related at all

How's your battery/terminals?

Sounds like it's correcting for a lot of alternator drag.

Never thought to figure this in...so thank you!
I did just get my spark plugs changed, and everything is good as far as the battery is concerned. I will check the terminals and see.

Maybe or maybe not related but how new to you is it?

Any idea how old battery is?

Ever take in for a battery/charging system test?

I've figured out when my battery gets towards 5 years old I just go buy a new battery.
