Night/Day GPS Screen Change (???)

Hello all - I have a 2005 RL. Up until this weekend, the GPS screen would automatically switch from "day to night" whenever the lights were turned on. Out of the blue, this functionality no longer works. I am wondering if my wife accidentally changed a setting, though I cant find one in the menus that would appear to address this.

Does anyone know if there is a setting that needs to be adjusted to enable the GPS screen to automatically change from day/night and night/day?

Your gauge cluster brightness is turned up all the way. so even when you're headlights come on, your nav screen will be in the "day" setting. turn down the brightness with the button to the right of the steering wheel by one and that should fix your problem.

Thanks for the quick response - I was hoping it would be something easy
