I am picking up this Saturday a 2010 Rl without nav, got a great deal 40,400 incl all weather floor mats, splash guards and truck mat, Grigio metallic w/ ebony, awesome car, the people who review this segment have no clue, it is definitely an underrated vehicle!

Gratz, but I too agree that you'll be missing out on a lot of features. No Nav, no traffic, no weather, no heated/cooled seats, no Active Front Lighting System (AFS), no rearview camera....I can go on and on with so many cool features that I would love to have and use.
Also I think $40k for a non tech is a little high. I was just at my local dealer for service and saw a '10 RL tech package for $39,900. I guess prices differ from city to city...

Was that the sticker price or what you negotiated it down to?
Is that for a new '10 RL Tech or for a demo?
What city/state/dealership was this in?
If it was new, that's an incredible deal!

This was the listed price. No, it was not new. I believe it was a CPO with 8K miles on it.
I'm sure the OP's car is brand new, but I would much rather buy a used tech, than a new base.
I don't see it listed on their website anymore, but HERE is another one they had for sale for under $40K. It's an '09 CMBS CPO.

Brand new, only 6 miles on it, msrp was approx 47690, I can live without the other items from the Tech package, I drove a TL to compare, no comparison at all. negotiated down to, 500 below invoice after 2000 marketing incentive plus 2.9 financing
