Newb with questions

Bought an 05 with 118k. Been doing a lot of research. However of all the transmission threads I come by no one has a pic of the tranny drain plug. I have a cl also and that one is easy to find. Also is it hard to remove the engine splash guard? Just want to make sure that I pull the correct plug and drain the correct fluid. Also what other car has our engine/tranny combo? Great far other than usual drivers door pull bing yanked off and center com sol about to rip.

Yes! My buddy owned the car and has every service ever come up done at the dealership. It was done at 93k. I like doing as much as I can myself.

I've not changed the tranny fluid, so can't help you on that.
However, if you have the door pull, might try gluing back on. Worked for me.
Also, there's a thread from HeavyRL on redoing the center armrest

The splash guard is a pain in the ass. I ended up not even taking the whole thing off. The plug is on the driver's side of the car maybe a foot from center and a foot back from the front bumper. I don't remember if it was facing the driver wheel or not.

When I drain the transfer case and the tranny, I just remove the back two or three bolts holding the shield on, then bend it out of the way. I also use one of those flexible funnel contraptions to guide the spill.

Piece of cake.
