New Rotors Supposed to have Cross Hatch Pattern?

90k miles and doing front brakes with OEM Acura parts and noticed the new rotors don't have any kind of cross-hatch pattern on them; is this normal? Wondering if I'm supposed to take them down to the machine shop and have them scuffed-up. Thanks for any replies...

I believe when you break in your pads, the pads will leave a deposit on the rotors causing the cross hatch pattern

Agree, that's why I went OEM. Seems to be fine on the test drive, good as new.

cross hatch is normally a machine process from sanding or machining at two angles. I have never bought a new good quality rotor that had a cross hatch on it. Some shops will cross hatch old rotors trying to get rid of the hard spots. If your brakes stop straight then you got it right.
