After getting frustrated the past 16 months with all the rattles and dash issues, A/C evaporator going out twice on my 05 TL, I decided to get the 06 RL. Picked it up tonight and all I can say WOW what a difference. I picked out pearl white with ebony. I'll post pictures soon

It sure sounds like your '05 TL was a lemon or you got a lousy service tech team at your local dealer. My '05 RL has been trouble free for its 34K miles and I believe the secret to this is to keep it away from the service "techs" as much as you can. Take your new '06 to your dealer for service only when it becomes an "absolute necessity". I wouldn't take it in for a rattle because they'll take it apart and it will then develop all kinds of maladies from their attempt to fix the rattle and it will only go downhill from there.

Thanks for the heads up. You're right about keeping it away from the service techs, as in the TL they would fix or it was thought to be fixed always either came back worse or started a new rattle some where else. It was a mess.

I also second about not taking one's car to the dealer for any rattles unless it is a total must. I'd say to try and trouble shoot minor problems like that instead of have techs do it because as stated, they'll no doubt fug something else up.

Great choice!! I also traded my 04 TL in for an 05 RL. Paint chiping and trainy problems for me Have been very satisfied with the RL. 20,000 and not a bit of trouble
