Just added a 2005 RL with 34k miles to our garage. It has chrome wheels, wood steering wheel, backup sensor, wood shift knob, and 3M protective film.
Excellent condition, paid $13k for it.
Going to add a backup camera later.
More pictures later.
also have a 07 Type S, a little bit faster and better exhaust sound than the RL.
Congrats and welcome. Hope you have a good stack of receipts, lots of expensive issues with the 05, many that show up around 60k miles. Hopefully, you'll be fine.
Thanks all. This car was in CA. I paid about $1000 to transfer it to VA. Previous owner did all the service at the dealer. He did the 105k service 2 years ago when the vehicle was at 29k miles. All paperwork included.
More pics.
Another set of chromed stock wheels. Interesting. That's the kind of car you can buy off of pictures and records alone. The door sill is blue because the protective film has not been removed.
Welcome to the lodge. Spectacular example you got there, and as the others said, at an amazing price too.
To amplify 007's comment (you'll find he knows everything), peel off that door-sill film. I left mine on for years, and rust started to form under it. It's not "protective" forever.
Welcome to the forums. I learned so much here and everyone is very helpful! You hit a homerun on that deal too; that car is immaculate!
I brought an '08 RL new in '09 from a dealership in Cali with the chrome wheels too as it's only a Cali thing apparently.. The only thing now is that my chrome is finally starting to peel off and since I live on the other side of the country, it's not worth it to get them re chromed so I will eventually have to get it all removed..
But once again, welcome and congrats on the find!

Great colors inside and out. It really is great looking car. The RL had great proportional design. I had a 2006 and now a 2012. I enjoy driving my RL more than my mom's 2015 MB S550 (and think the RL looks much better too).
What was the build date and how is the clear bra holding up?

Is that a cucumber in the cup holder?
Thanks.
Yes, it's a cucumber in the cup holder. Co-worker had some extra from his garden so he brought it to work.

Enjoy and congratulations!
Clear bra is holding up real well. I think the previous owner garaged this car. Build date was 12/04. I'm guessing one of the first vehicle off the assembly line.
