New Owner

I have been a lurker for the past few months and I wanted to get an RL but the right vehicle did not come along until yesterday. 2007 RL with 53K miles. Carbon Grey/Taupe combo. Only bummer is that the dealer did not have the Nav code and the old owner is not calling them back so hopefully I get that resolved soon.

Thanks everyone for answering some of my questions in the past.

Welcome aboard!! Shock that the dealer can't pull it up by looking at the code on the radio. Try 13315 and 2902

Try opening up your glove box and looking at the far left side of it. You may see a couple of numbers there and one should be your nav code. At least that is how it is on my RL. Not sure if the previous owner just put it there to make it easier. Worth a try at least.

Ditto on that, my codes are on the left side of the glove box. Look for the 4 digit code and not the 6 digit one. That one is for the radio. I'm surprised the dealer couldn't figure that out They must have a lot of geniuses working there

I called the dealer where it was serviced and they had the code so i'm good to go. I drove about 100 miles today, very different than my TSX. My speed got away from me a few times and the obviously the RL feels much heavier but way smoother.

Congrats OP ! Just had a TSX loaner when the RL was in for its A/c fix and was real glad to get behind the wheel of the RL again. The TSX is a little too buzzy for my liking and just does not feel as substantial as our solid RL.

Thanks for the responses. I had to buy tires for it though. Tires for the RL are a little on the spendy side but he car seems to ride a bit smoother.

What type of tires where on the car before and what type are the new tires?

FYI
I just picked up a 05 RL a spec w/80K last week and it had a card in the leather owners manual holder with the navi and radio code.

I put the continental DWS tires on. I had the OEM Mich on before and they seemed fine but the DWS were about $50 a tire cheaper. If you do a search here you will find some tire threads and the opinions are all over the board. In the end I thought I would try these.

Thanks for the code tip. I did eventually find the codes in the owners manual in the "secret" compartment in the glove box, I never knew that was there.
