you should expect more lazy workmanship throughout the whole car as someone didnt take the time to route the wire properly behind the grille...
you should take the car to a mechanic to get a pre-purchase-inspection done on the car. the mechanic will tell you everything that is wrong with the car.

I would run away from that car unless the pre-purchase inspection comes back clean, or you might be throwing lots of money at it to get it road worthy

Hey appreciate the quick response. Its on a used car lot here in Canada and its not alot of money given our prices of used cars in BC. May I ask what you think the wire is pertaining too ? I ws thinking maybe a old block heater as the car was originally in Saskatchewan were cold winter . now in BC its not needed ... The dealership has a mechanics shop in house but imm not sure how much I trust them. Im not expecting the world given the price. its a one owner no accidents car with 194km ... 6k CAD asking so reasonable

a block heater makes sense....because I wouldnt know what wire that would be wrapped out on the outside like that.

If it is a block heater, the other end should be an outlet where you can plug in an electrical wire. You should be able to pull it out to take a look. If it is taut with no slack, it might not be a block heater.

Your from Canada so you should already know this....

If that car is from up north its entire life, it's guaranteed to be rusted to shit. That car was bought for one reason in that area, it offers AWD.

Also get a pre purchase inspection. The 100 or so dollars you spend is more than worth it.
