Arrow New 2006 RL Owner coming from a 2003 CL - Quick Question

Hello everyone,

Own a 2003 6 speed CL and just bought a 2006 RL with 130K miles.

Quick question about turning the car on. I'm having to use the physical key right now because the cap on the ignition switch is missing. Is this piece required for the keyless start? And if so, will one work if I purchase an ignition switch off ebay and use the cap / cover?

Thanks everyone! Loving the car so far.

Welcome to the RL side! The cap isn't specific to the ignition, any cap should work. The part # for the part you're looking for is:

35104-SJA-A01

Also, the car is self cranking, meaning you don't have to hold the key/plug until it starts. Just turn it to start and let go, it will start on its own.

My question is why all of you traded your CL-S6s for RLs? I'd kill to find a minty '03 CL-S 6. My RL is a nice car but it's about as much fun as a sack of gummi bears. If I had it to do all over again, I know what I'd do---

Honestly if it wasn't for a random online search for an Aspec RL I'd still have my CLS6. It's not every day these cars pop up and it's a car that I've always had an eye out for. The CLS also needed some work so finding the RL was the nail in the coffin.

With that said, I miss the hell out of that CLS6. The 3.5 6spd was too much fun..

As for the RL, SH-AWD and stiff suspension are a great thing. The auto trans... not so much

I was getting tired of owning a 2 door. At the time, I never had a 4 door car. The only thing I really miss about it is the transmission. Actually, I miss having the sunglass holder as well. I kept my CL in as good of shape as my RL. These days I get to see it all the time as I work with the current owner.

But it's much more beat up than when I owned it

I used to own a 6th gen Accord Coupe and that 2 doors getting old real quick especially when I shopping for a large item like TV or a full laundry basket.
