Ok, I have not seen anywhere in these threads, about the problem that I am experiencing with our RL. Lately the the sensor on the passenger seat that tells you the air bag is off, stopped working. Also I cannot delete the messages in the Navi. While I had my trusty TSX in for an oil change, I ask the service writer if anyone else's RL has had this problem. I was told, he has seen this problem on a few RL's and there is no fix from honda as yet. He is suppose to call Honda to see if there is a fix now. Said he would call me . One thing I do know, there is a fix. Replace any and everything till you find the problem. Really, its not a big concern, but I consider it a safety issue. I am going to get with the other half and see if we want to go through all the back and forth with the dealer. There is no way in H... I am going to accept a" we don't have a fix yet" I told the serive writer that I will be back soon with my sword and amror, and be prepared for battle.

 

I would think the two are related....whenever I put my laptop bag on the passenger seat, I get a message saying the airbag is off. Sounds to me like you replace the bad sensor, both your problems will go away.

 

I had the same or similar problem. I could not clear the message.

The dealer finally pulled the "codes" and found something. After he "cleared" them I have not had a problem.

No parts were replaced.

yeah, that's supposed to happen, in the manual it says, when something that closely resembles a baby's weight, or a small child, the passenger airbag will automatically turn off. it happened to me too when i put a heavy bag on the passenger seat.
