Need your opinion

I have the original rims and tires (full tread) in storage and they have been well maintained the entire time. The tires are not flat and the rims do not have any marks on them. I want to post them in the Black Market but how much should I ask? Any input would be helpful.

Mods, I am not trying to sell these here. I just want to get an idea of what the selling price should be.

Thanks in advance everyone!

use them as winter wheels as the price you get for them will be a giveaway and if you have to ship them...forget it.

I live in the Bay Area so we don't really have seasons. Winter wheels would be a waste on me, plus I love the Aspecs! Even if someone was looking for tires alone, these things have perfect tread and the rims have a flawless finish. I do appreciate the input though 037. Thanks.

I would put the cost of shipping on the buyer anyway.

I"ve seen sets of wheels with tires like yours selling locally (so.cal.) on craigslist in the $300-600 range... my guess is in this economy, and with RL's being a low volume seller, you'd get more toward the bottom of the range...

if you have the time/energy, maybe you could sell them on craiglist? you have a bigger market that way... or just store them.. if/when you sell your RL, odds are you could sell the car with the stockers, and then craigslist the aspecs.. someone will want the aspecs and you coudl pocket much more money for them, as they are more of a limited item vs the stock wheels.. you just would need ample space to store the stockers in your garage until the time you might sell your car...

aspec wheels sell on craigslit for around $1000 for the set... i say save yoru stockers. when you get rid of your car, pull the aspecs, put the stocker back on and sell/trade it and then put the aspecs on craigslist/ebay for $750-1000 and make a nice chunk of change..

Good advice! I will have to consider that. I was just hoping to clear out some space in my garage. I also don't want the tires to go flat or crack so I was hoping to avoid any kind of maintenance.

i say throw it on craigslist for 600, pocket the money now. when you sell the car, you can always list the aspecs and swap for the stocks of whoever is buying them.

That's what I am worried about. Shit, I can use the money for Aspec suspension or a wood steering wheel!

tires have a life of about 5 - 7 years before the rubber starts to go bad. I would consider selling the tires asap with or without the rims. The bay area is a big place and there should be an RL there that needs them. Run it in the San Jose area, San Mateo and North Bay. Personally it would bother me to run 5 year old tires from the start because they would be 9 to 10 years old near the end of their thread. RL's are too high speed for that.

If you don't get any better offers in, say 2 days - a week, take it!!!

1 week might be a strech!

$600 for stock wheels/tires you don't want... go for it... that's a lot of money.

you could buy aspec suspension... or a lot of beer and cigars!

Aspec FTW! Trying hard to resist prematurely purchasing! Just got a free shipping coupon code from oemacuraparts.com but I know how flakey CLers can be.
