need to prove my service dept wrong

Ok I know that the directional signal handle and windshield wiper handle SHOULD light up at night when the lights are on...

Punk at service tells me no, and that they checked other cars and it does NOT light up... BULL! I know they lit up when I first had the car, but something went out and now I can't see what setting I want my lights on and such at night without having to turn on the dome light or open the door.

What the hell can I do, I didn't see a 2G RL on the lot to go test out, big surprise, but all your RL's directional handle windshield wipes handle light up at night, RIGHT?? That would be just foolish if they didnt on a 50K car and I'm pissed that they told me this bullshit!

oh no... maybe im wrong....

i have the white lettering on them, too, but you're telling me that you can't see them at night, like they DO NOT light up enabling you to see what setting you wanna adjust your wipers or headlights without turning on the dome light????

Still not totally beleiving it and in denial... Can other RL owners chime in here?

How the hell can a 50k luxury sedan not have the turn signal/windshield wiper handles light up with the headlights? This car is for an old man after all....

Even this old man can figure it out in the dark - geez there's only a few positions of the switch and one is obvious (off)

I spent an hour driving home slowly in the snow tonight (FRACKing Cleveland!), so I am intimately aware of the non-lit control stalks.

However, I've been driving Hondas for 20 years, and the location and function are unchanged from the other 9 Honda products I've owned, so their lack of light isn't bothersome. Sorry man, you're wrong.

I confirm as well - no lights on either "control stalk" lights or washers.
Dude - you had a senior moment!

Yeah, I am aging rather quickly, so I guess I had a senior moment... Good thing I own an RL to fit the stereotype.

I've just realized why nobody uses their indicators - there is no light on the stalk so nobody can figure out how to operate them!

Why would you need them to light up? Do you have to see what speed you are using your wipers

Perhaps you saw the VSA button light up and thought it was the signal handler?

Bump this thread from the dead:

I have an 07 TL-S and was putting gas in the other day and noticed there is no "flapper" metal thing that you normally push the gas fill nozzle through just like all my other cars had. If you guys know what i'm talking about, do your 3g's have this "flapper" or no? Am I just crazy?

I don't wanna make a new thread for a simple question like this and was hoping just bumping it into the recent threads would gain the attention needed.

Ok....but you are asking a question about a car no one in this section has, so how would they know the answer? Plus it is off topic.
