Does anyone have a random - yet re-occurring - flickering of their navi screens?

My 2005 RL (purchased Nov. 2005) flickers every once and a while (small vertical strips of flicker) and then is fine for a couple weeks. The process repeats and turning it off/on doesn't do anything to help or force it to flicker.

I'm wondering if it's a bad connection or something but don't want to go through the hassle of replacing the whole unit.

I have seen the flickering but I believe its with the NAV TRaffic getting updates. Not sure. Hopefully a few more people will provide feedback

 

Apologies for not being more specific - it's not the traffic update screen refresh (re-paint) but 1-pixel lines that go up and down and then go away.

Originally I thought it was my polarized sunglasses, but it's also doing it in "night mode."
