Not a horribly bad settlement. I do CAT adjusting on the side for one of the largest ins. co. in the land (catastrophe). I am also an agent for the same company. What company are you insured with (if you do not want to say, I understand)? We still have not been able to contact 20% of our insureds living in parts of Tex-Arkana region... No cell phone towers, no phone lines, etc. We have 4 teams on the ground combing the region for those customers. This was a real real bad one. Sorry to hear about your RL, you will find another vehicle though! Metal, chrome, and plastic can be replaced, you cannot.

For future, future reference. I replaced the RL with an infiniti ex35. (After the insurance guys bumped it up to $20,500) Got the new one for 23,300. Life events and whatnot pushing me into semi-SUV territory. Also just didn't seem like a good idea to pick one up value-wise when the whole RL line is shaky. The EX a sporty, fun car, but very different than the RL. I'll always think that for the time, the RL was one of the best car deals I've ever gotten. Loved it, had a blast. And even though its gone, like others said, I'm still alive. That's what matters.
From now on when I see RLs on the road, I always give a thumbs up. Maybe a few years from now with an update and V8 SH-AWD, I'll pick up another one.
