mp3 playback

Any of the RL owners using the mp3 playback feature? How does it sound over the OEM system? Any likes/dislikes?

They could play MP3-formatted discs... great. Yet I really hope it's capable of playing MP3 and cassette together.

I played some from a CD that I burned for my test drives, but I haven't played any since I bought the car. During the test drive I noticed that the system was slow to list all of the titles on the disc. I had around 200 files all in the root directory without any folders though... If I remember correctly, they sounded fine. I've been meaning to try them again, but I've been having too much fun with the rest of the car.

I have heard that MP3 files on a DVD do not work, but I haven't tried that scenario myself.
